Acquired by Martin Craddock (now Group Chairman) and his late father John in the 1970’s, Lincat is the leading UK manufacturer of light and medium duty catering equipment. Its core products are three ranges of modular commercial cooking appliances: Lynx 400 (small counter-top electric appliances), Silverlink 600 (electric and gas powered, wider range and heavier duty than Lynx 400) and Opus 700 (top of the range, gas and electric units for large kitchens). These three product series cover the market from small snack bars up to large kitchens in both the private sector – pubs, restaurants, staff canteens – and the public sector.

In addition to this wide range of cooking appliances, Lincat is well established with a number of niche products, including water boilers, hot and cold food display cabinets under the Seal brand, and food serving equipment.

Lincat operates from a modern 100,000 ft² (9,300 m^2₎ factory outside Lincoln that it shares with Mercury.
